The next few days were filled with tension between Sarah and her parents. They were still adamant about her continuing her studies and pursuing a more traditional career path. Sarah, on the other hand, was determined to follow her passion for art.
One afternoon, while Sarah was working on a painting in her room, her father came to talk to her. "Sarah, can we talk?" he asked, as he sat down on the bed next to her.
Sarah put down her paintbrush and turned to face him. "Sure, Dad. What's up?"
"I've been thinking a lot about what you said the other day. And I've come to a decision."
Sarah tensed up, not knowing what to expect.
"I've decided to support you in your decision to pursue art," her father said, surprising her.
Sarah's eyes widened in shock. "Really? You mean it?"
Her father nodded. "Yes. Your aunt's words really got to me. I realized that we can't just force you to do something you don't want to do. We want you to be happy, Sarah."
Tears of gratitude welled up in Sarah's eyes. "Thank you, Dad. Thank you so much."
Her father hugged her tightly. "Just promise me one thing, Sarah. Promise me that you'll work hard and never give up on your dreams."
"I promise, Dad. I won't let you down," Sarah said, hugging him back.
The tension between Sarah and her parents dissipated after that conversation. They were still worried about her financial stability, but they knew that she was determined to make a career out of art. They started supporting her by giving her art supplies and encouraging her to attend art exhibitions and festivals.
Sarah's aunt kept in touch with her, sending her articles about successful artists and tips on how to make a living out of art. Sarah felt grateful for her aunt's support and encouragement.
Years later, Sarah became a successful artist, known for her unique style and creativity. She held her first art exhibition in her hometown, and her parents were amazed by her talent. They felt proud of their daughter and were glad that they had supported her in pursuing her dreams.
As the family gathered around the dinner table once again, they were filled with laughter and joy. They had all learned a valuable lesson - that family peace is created by concerned people who support and encourage each other to follow their dreams.
